I am a Registered Massage Therapist from Toronto offering treatments ranging from soothing, relaxing Swedish massage, aromatherapy and hot stone treatments, to deeper restorative muscular work necessary to decrease tension, stiffness, and pain. My extensive experience with and love of dance has helped me to develop an interest in maintaining health and wellness.
Having suffered several dance-related injuries, I sought out a natural way of treating these injuries and staying healthy. Massage therapy accelerated my recovery and created an awareness of and fascination with the healing powers of massage. I initially trained as an esthetician where I was introduced to aesthetics, aromatherapy, and basic Swedish massage techniques.
This experience helped me realize my true passion and love for health care and rehabilitation. Thereafter I enrolled in an intensive two-year program at Kikkawa College, which involved over two thousand two hundred hours of education in massage therapy. I've treated many clients suffering from chronic pain syndromes, overuse injuries, and motor vehicle accidents.
I've also worked with athletes, dancers, children, and pregnant women. I continually educate myself on the most current massage therapy research, and I take advanced courses every year in order to provide my clients with a highest quality of care. While I am passionate about my work, I believe in a balanced approach to work, family, health, and leisure, and I try to help my clients to achieve balance in their lives.
